Django Packages is a resource for the Django community. We ask that all users be respectful community members. This Acceptable Use Policy outlines what we consider prohibited content and conduct on our platform.
Data Collection and Scraping

You may not use information from Django Packages (whether scraped, collected through our API, or obtained otherwise) for spamming purposes, including for the purposes of sending unsolicited emails to users or selling personal information, such as to recruiters, headhunters, and job boards.

You may not overload our servers through excessive automated requests. Please be considerate with API usage and use reasonable rate limiting.
Prohibited Content

Content that is unlawful or promotes unlawful activities.

Content that is sexually obscene or exploitative.

Content that is libelous, defamatory, or fraudulent.

Content that infringes any proprietary right of any party, including patents, trademarks, trade secrets, copyrights, or other intellectual property.

Spam, including package or grid submissions intended to promote unrelated products or services.
Prohibited Conduct

Harassment, bullying, or abuse of any kind directed at any individual or group.

Impersonation of another person or entity, or misrepresentation of your affiliation with a person or entity.

Creating fake accounts or coordinated inauthentic activity.

Phishing or attempting to collect sensitive information from other users.

Disrupting other users' experiences on the platform, including vandalizing grids, packages, or other shared content.
Enforcement
Django Packages retains full discretion to take action in response to a violation of these policies, including account suspension, account termination, or removal of content.
This policy is adapted from PyPI's Acceptable Use Policy, which itself adapts GitHub's Acceptable Use Policies, and is licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International license.
